It has been reported that a former laborer has recently been diagnosed with mesothelioma and is filing a lawsuit against many of the companies he previously worked for because of their role in causing asbestos exposure. During the 1970s, he had worked as a construction worker, a railroad car repair worker and a machine operator. It is highly probable that he was exposed to asbestos at these jobs. Unfortunately, many employers in the 1970s did not warn their employees of the lethal dangers of asbestos even though the employers were aware of those dangers. Further, employers did not provide employees with equipment to avoid exposure to asbestos such as masks.
